Breathtaking views from Four Seasons Seychelles 🏝️

This was our priciest indulgence in Seychelles, but it was truly worth it! Before we went, I compared reviews of several gorgeous properties for our splurge, including Six Senses, Constance, Waldorf Astoria, and Anantara. We chose the Four Seasons due to our excellent experiences at other FS sites and a YouTube review ranking this FS as a top 5 worldwide. They noted our preference for no alcohol and gifted us delicious non-alcoholic bubblies and a cake for our 7th anniversary. I loved the fresh coconut welcome drink. Each day, our room came with a little snack and surprise message on the bed. Although not the newest Four Seasons I've visited, I loved the spacious villas. We chose a garden villa with a lovely lotus pond view. I saw workers daily cleaning the pond of debris and ensuring the grounds were immaculate. We had an amazing pool outside and a lounging area, but we mostly enjoyed the stunning on-site beach, Petite Anse! Visiting in low season (September), the weather was perfect, and the resort wasn’t crowded. The property is built vertically on a granite mountain, so buggies are mainly used to get around. They arrived quickly via WhatsApp, though in peak season, waits can be 15 minutes. Snorkeling with the on-site marine biologist was the best in the Seychelles, with plenty of fish and stories of whale sharks. We asked about whale shark tours, but there were none. The sunset kayak was lovely, with gentle waves—perfect for my tendency to get seasick. The sand at Petite Anse was some of the softest, whitest sand, powdery and clean. The chicken sandwich was delicious, though water service could have been more attentive. The mat Pilates class, intended for 8-10 participants, was just me. The instructor kept it easy, but I was sore the next day—great after all the food! It was at a spa with the most incredible view. I regret not trying a treatment. We booked the private residence tour, which was AMAZING! It inspired us to return with family/friends; the house offered breathtaking panoramic views. The food was delicious. Knowing birds were an issue, the FS had doors to food areas, unlike other places where birds were on the waffles. Still, protect your food outdoors as birds are attracted to the great food. We enjoyed the steak shack, where the fish and steak were perfectly cooked, and the octopus was wonderfully tender. Zez’s fish and eggplant were favorites, and we were convinced to try the superb dessert. Lastly, the first night required a cold shower. We were so impressed by the bathtub's beauty, we filled it to relax, but the water turned cold quickly. We learned it takes 45 minutes to reheat. This wasn’t pre-communicated. We arrived at 8 pm, hoping for a relaxing bath/shower before bed, but by 11 pm, I was dozing in lukewarm water. The tub was too big for practical use—it could fit 3-4 adults—which made hot water scarce, despite its beautiful poolside view. Overall, service was excellent and staff friendly, consistent with other FS locations. We appreciated the unique activity calendar. We see why this FS ranks so highly worldwide. Highly recommend!
