Located about 60 kilometers southwest of Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, Gobustan Rock Art is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

🚗Transportation: It's recommended to join a day tour or half-day tour. If you have a car, it's about a 60-kilometer drive from Baku following the navigation. The road conditions are good, as Azerbaijan is a wealthy country.

[One] First, visit the site's museum. Here you can learn about the human and ecological history of Gobustan, providing a knowledge base for your subsequent visit to the rock art. You can use translation software to understand some key information.

[Two] Hike in the ecological area. There are trails within the site where you can closely observe the carvings on the rocks. These rock paintings depict scenes of people, warriors, animals, boats, dancing, hunting, camel caravans, etc., vividly showcasing the lifestyle of people thousands of years ago.

[Three] Roman soldier inscription and the musical stone (Gaval Dash). Both of these require patience to find.
