Baku's Flame Towers: Flames frozen in mid-air

#hellohalloween

Baku lights up in the evening.
Three towers glow on a hill above the city, as if someone had lit enormous torches. They shimmer, change color, transforming into flames, waves, and even the Azerbaijani flag.

These are the Flame Towers—a symbol of modern Baku and one of the most recognizable panoramas of the Caspian coast. During the day, the towers are simply mirrors, reflecting the sky and sea, and at night they transform into living flames.

Each tower is about 190 meters tall and visible from almost anywhere in the city.
Inside are hotels, apartments, and offices. But most visitors simply need to climb to the top to see the city below, glowing with thousands of lights.

📍 How to get there
The towers are located on a hill above Neftchilar Avenue. The most convenient way to get there is on foot from the Old City, via Highland Park, which offers the best views of Baku. It's about a 20-minute climb from the Icheri Sheher metro station.
