So no doubt when in Bali, you need to visit the rice terraces. It makes for some very beautiful pictures. While I would recommend going far off and stopping by lesser known rice terraces. I mean Bali is full of it. But more often people are limited by time and distances. So the nearest and most popular option when it comes to rice terraces is Tegalallang. Especially if you're staying in Ubud. From where this would be 15 minutes on the motorbike.
I have been here numerous times and done all those insta pics and angles possible. I just want to say that if you are going to do this and want to avoid the crowds and tourist traps. You're charged money as you try to climb up. Going there before 8am works the best. You'd both get to see the sunrise and avoid those people who charge money on the way. It's exactly what i did on my most recent visit and it was the most peaceful of them all.
