Tirta Empul Temple

Tirta Empul Holy Water Temple
Located in Manukaya Village near Tampaksiring town
Not far from Ubud in Gianyar Regency
which is the cultural center of Bali
It is a large temple open to visitors
It takes at least 30 minutes to 1 hour
to explore the whole place and you will be required to wear
"Sarong" before entering the temple, which are available for purchase at the temple entrance
and can be rented for a donation

The holy water here flows into a large clear pool where local Balinese and Hindu worshippers line up
in the pool waiting to dip their heads under the water pipes in a purification ritual
called Melukat
