Bali Forest Wonderland Hotel

This time, I want to recommend the Chapung Sebali Bali Hotel located in Keliki. The address is Jalan Raya Sebali Banjar Sebali, Keliki. Although the location is a bit remote, it’s precisely because of this that you can enjoy the full beauty of the forest scenery. The hotel is just a few minutes’ drive from the center of Ubud and even offers a free shuttle service, which is very convenient.

Although the hotel’s location is somewhat secluded, I actually think this is one of its biggest highlights because it allows you to completely escape the hustle and bustle of the city and immerse yourself in nature. The hotel’s decor is a perfect blend of traditional Balinese style and Scandinavian modern furniture, very stylish. The front desk staff were very warm and quickly handled the check-in process. I stayed in a villa with a private pool, which truly made me feel like I was living in a forest wonderland. The villa was also very spacious, with its own terrace and two connected pools overlooking the tropical rainforest.

The room was very clean and tidy, with all the facilities you could need. The spacious open-plan room featured a beautiful bathroom and a private infinity pool. Every morning, you could enjoy the hotel’s floating breakfast in the room while watching the jungle scenery outside — it was such a treat! The bed was especially comfortable, and I slept very well every night. Whether inside the room or outside, there were plenty of leisure facilities to choose from, like the poolside billiards table and afternoon tea.

Speaking of dining, the hotel has three different restaurants, each outstanding. I highly recommend the vegetarian beetroot and oxalis dessert at the Jungle Fish restaurant — it’s truly unique. The Jungle Fish pool is definitely one of the highlights, offering views of the jungle and plenty of outdoor seating so you can savor it all. You must try the spa here, which uses all-natural products and massage oils, leaving you completely relaxed in body and mind.

There are many nearby attractions and restaurants to explore. We enjoyed dining at Jungle Fish Pool Bar and Wyah, both with especially delicious food. The hotel is also very close to Ubud’s city center, so you can easily return to the crowds and experience the lively atmosphere of Bali.

Of course, every hotel has some minor drawbacks. During the day, you might encounter some tourists by the pool, which can sometimes break the peaceful atmosphere. However, for those of us who like to go out and explore, it’s not a big deal since you can immediately regain your tranquility once back in the room.
