Let me introduce a local favorite restaurant in Bali that I really enjoyed during my trip. It’s called Warung Cahaya, located about a 20-minute walk from Legian Beach. This local favorite in Bali is open from 9 AM to 5 PM.

I ordered fried pork belly, nasi goreng, grilled pork belly, and an Indonesian vegetable dish called plecing gondo. The fried pork belly comes with sambal, a pickled onion condiment, which pairs perfectly with the rich fried pork belly, making it delicious. The fried pork belly was especially crispy, which made the texture delightful. The grilled pork belly was tender and mild, which I also liked. The nasi goreng I ordered alongside was fluffy and light!

I have visited Indonesia several times, but I first tried the Indonesian vegetable dish plecing gondo at Warung Cahaya, a local favorite in Bali. It has a slightly bitter and savory flavor that was so good I want to try it again next time I visit Indonesia.

I visited just after 9 AM, and it was already full of locals. This is truly a local favorite in Bali.
