Rainy Landscape ~ Strolling in Dongtan Wetland

Shanghai Dongtan Wetland Park is an oasis within the city, with beautiful natural environment and very fresh air. Whether you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city or want to get close to nature, it is definitely worth a visit. It retains its wetland pristine ecology with not only large wetland landscapes but also plenty of waterfowl and wildlife, perfect for bringing family and friends to relax, take photos and breathe fresh air.

Recommended tour routes:
After entering, it is recommended to go to the wetland bird watching platform, which has a super open view, where you can use a telescope to carefully observe the waterbirds that appear in different seasons, including migratory birds and rare animals. You can then walk slowly along the trail, where you will see many different types of wetland ecological areas, with explanatory signs introducing flora and fauna in between. The middle section will pass through the aquatic plant area, which is very beautiful in summer when the lotus flowers are in full bloom. While walking to the water-friendly platform, you can get up close and personal with the lake water, and relaxing your feet feels particularly healing.

Must-see places to check in:
1. Large glass wall outside the bird watching house - you can take pictures in the background of the entire reeds
2. Lakeside Promenade - great for taking sunsets at dusk
3. Aquatic plant area - shooting summer lotus or autumn reeds as well out of the film

Practical Game Tips:
- The park is not small, it is recommended to reserve at least 3 hours for slow tour
-Lightweight hiking shoes are recommended as parts of it are dirt or wooden canals
- Bring mosquito repellent, wetlands may be more mosquitoes in summer
- There are self-service ticket machines and washrooms in the park, fewer dining options, it is recommended to bring your own water and snacks
- There are more people on weekends/holidays, it will be quieter on weekdays, suitable for those who want to Hea for a day

Notes:
