Meeting Bali’s monkeys is an experience you don’t forget. Whether in the lush jungle of the Ubud Monkey Forest or the dramatic cliffs of Uluwatu Temple, these clever, curious creatures are everywhere—and they rule their domain.
At Uluwatu, we watched them sit on stone walls as the sun set over the ocean. Some played with each other, others just observed the tourists passing by. One even tried to snatch a pair of sunglasses before the owner wisely stepped back. You can’t help but laugh—they’re mischievous, bold, and incredibly agile.
In Ubud, the monkeys live among ancient trees and moss-covered temples. It feels like entering a different world—one where nature and spirituality are deeply connected. Watching baby monkeys cling to their mothers as they leap through the branches is both heartwarming and wild.
But always remember: respect their space, don’t feed them, and keep your belongings close. Bali’s monkeys aren’t pets—they’re locals. And they’re full of personality.
