
The Dongfeng Canal was originally an irrigation channel for diverting water from the Yellow River. The Dongfeng Canal Riverside Park was built in September 2006. It covers a total area of about 1.387 million square meters, of which about 1.005 million square meters are green areas and more than 382,000 square meters are river channels.
The park is positioned as an urban riverside ecological landscape belt, integrating flood control, ecology, landscape, culture and sightseeing. It has transformed the old railway into a railway cultural landscape, reflecting the railway history of Zhengzhou and is well worth a visit.
Dongfengqu Riverside Park, with its four scenic areas and 16 attractions, has become one of the most important leisure and entertainment venues in Zhengzhou, and has been well received by the public. A stroll here will make you feel very relaxed and comfortable.
