Bali Handara Gate, located in the northern highlands of Bali, serves as the entrance to the Handara Golf Resort. Although not an ancient monument, this traditional Hindu-style "candi bentar" gate exudes a sense of timeless solemnity. Its unique architectural design, paired with the lush mountain backdrop, creates a scene rich in Balinese religious essence. When sunlight filters through the gate, it produces a mysterious and enchanting atmosphere, attracting numerous tourists and photography enthusiasts to capture the moment 📸. This iconic spot has become one of Bali's representative attractions, showcasing the island's distinctive blend of nature and culture.
During this visit to the nearby Water Temple, I decided to stop by Bali Handara Gate as well. To enter the gate area and take photos in front of it, visitors need to purchase a ticket and receive a queue number, priced at 50,000 IDR per person. Only when the staff calls your number can you proceed to the gate for photos. While waiting, you can explore the park in front of the gate or enjoy a cup of coffee ☕️ at the nearby café. At the time, there were still 10 numbers ahead of me, and the estimated wait time was over half an hour. Not wanting to waste time, I opted to take photos from a distance, which turned out quite well. After spending about 10 minutes there, I left, treating it as a brief visit.
