The Handara Gate is an iconic split gate leading to Handara Golf resort and most popular for photographs in north Bali as it offers spectacular view of mountain and golf resort as a backdrop. Usually found in roads, temples and mountains, the split gates in Bali is known as “Candi Bentar" and is considered sacred and significant in Balinese architecture. These intricately carved gates act as portals that connect the physical world with spiritual realm. This feature is quite popular in Bali and Java islands and signify the concept of duality and balance between two forces. I personallv find these structures quite intriguing and welcoming.
