Review of The Apurva Kempinski Bali Hotel

This year’s birthday trip was a special one as I chose to visit Bali after not going there for 20 years. I decided to stay in the Nusa Dua area, where the G20 Bali Summit was held in 2022. I booked directly with the hotel as a GHA Titanium member and reserved the second-tier room. The hotel generously upgraded me three levels (normally, they upgrade two levels), and I got to stay in the Cliff Private Pool Ocean Junior Suite on the 16th floor. Since the hotel is situated on a cliff, the lobby is at the topmost level, and the rooms are located on lower levels. However, my room was conveniently located above the lobby. The room came with club privileges at the Cliff Lounge, which spans two floors (9th and 10th), offering breakfast, afternoon tea, and evening cocktails.

I booked airport transfer with the hotel, and upon arrival, I was greeted by staff holding a hotel sign. They escorted me to the car, which provided cold towels, drinking water, Balinese-style beverages, and regular water. Upon reaching the hotel’s Arrival Pavilion, I was warmly welcomed by the Lady in Red and the Lobby Ambassador. They served a welcome drink and escorted me directly to my room for an in-suite check-in.

The room was incredibly spacious and featured a private pool. The service was exceptional throughout my stay. This trip was more about relaxation than sightseeing, making it perfect for anyone looking for a truly restful getaway.
