Exploring the Black Lava Field: Bali’s Otherworldly Landscape

After the sunrise adventure at Mount Batur, our journey continued to the Black Lava Field—a place that felt like stepping onto another planet. The jeep rumbled over rugged terrain, and suddenly the scenery changed into a vast expanse of dark, hardened lava rocks left behind by past eruptions.

The landscape was raw, dramatic, and unlike anything else in Bali. Towering formations of solidified lava stretched in every direction, creating a surreal contrast against the clear blue sky and the green hills in the distance. Walking around, I could feel the history and power of Mount Batur beneath my feet—the frozen reminder of nature’s strength.
