Chasing Waterfalls in Bali

When most people talk about Bali, they would talk about its food, devout believers, the beach clubs, surfing, digital nomads, the macet (traffic congestion) etc.
Having been to Bali multiple times, in my recent trip I decided to visit the many amazing waterfalls around central and northern Bali. Most of them are at least 1.5-2 hours away from the main Canggu and Ubud areas so plan your journey ahead if you are keen to visit them.
I decided to check out NungNung Waterfalls - famous for its 500+ steps hike, and Sekumpul waterfalls - a recently opened (7 years ago) collection of waterfalls that is gaining traction in the Social Media. The journeys were long and the hike was arduous especially during rainy season, but as you can see in the photos, they were worth the hardship!
