🏔️Tibet's Hidden Gem|Encounter the Glacier Sacred Lake at the Foot of Sapu Sacred Mountain! A stunning experience surrounded 360 degrees by snow-capped peaks
The beauty pinnacle of sacred mountains!
The King of Glaciers in Eastern Tibet is breathtakingly beautiful✨. To get there, you need to drive to the Sapu Sacred Mountain ticket office, then take the park shuttle into the Sapu Sacred Mountain scenic area. However, this is not the final destination. To get close to the foot of the sacred mountain and truly experience the snow-capped peaks, you must take a local off-road vehicle. The cost depends on your bargaining skills; our group of four paid 300 yuan in the end, but it was worth it for the stunning photos. Bears often appear there, but unfortunately, we didn’t see any.
📍Address: Puzong Valley, Yangxiu Township, Biru County, Nagqu City, Tibet
⏰Opening Hours: 7:00 AM - 9:00 PM
1️⃣ Outer Lake Viewing Platform
At first glance, you’ll be struck by the blue ice lake and pyramid-shaped snowy mountain! Drone shots can capture the full panoramic S-shaped glacier.
📸Photo spot: Telephoto shooting point next to the prayer flag array.
2️⃣ Hiking the Inner Lake
Walk on broken ice to get close to the glacier! Along the way, Tibetan women in red dresses and white stupas make for great photos.
💡Tips: At 4,900 meters altitude, walk slowly to prevent altitude sickness.
3️⃣ Center of Zonggecuo Lake
Stand on the ice crevasse and see the reflection of the snowy mountain! The blue ice period from November to April is the most magical.
⚠️Note: When walking on the ice, hire a local guide.
