Chulalongkorn University, the cradle of royal nobility

Chulalongkorn University (จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย) is the oldest and most prestigious university in Thailand, located in Bangkok, the capital of Thailand. Chulalongkorn University was founded in 1917 by the fifth King of Thailand, King Chulalongkorn the Great, hence the name.

Chulalongkorn University is the only university in Thailand permitted to use the title "Royal" and the only university in Thailand that owns royal land and property. There is an elephant on the emblem of Chulalongkorn University. The elephant is the national treasure of Thailand and symbolizes wisdom and strength.

Chulalongkorn University has 19 faculties, 3 graduate schools, 1 branch campus, 14 research institutes, 2 educational centers and 2 affiliated schools, offering more than 450 degree programs taught in Thai or English. Chulalongkorn University is a pioneer in higher education in Thailand, having trained many Thai politicians, scholars, entrepreneurs and artists.

Chulalongkorn University's campus is located in the heart of Bangkok and covers an area of ​​approximately 200 hectares.
