An Oasis Of Calm Among The Hustle & Bustle of Siam

The Siam area of Bangkok is the busiest In the city and can be very overwhelming even for the most experienced travellers, at the end of the malls is a little hidden oasis. The Bangkok Art & Culture Center is right between Siam and National stadium BTS stations and is an immediately calming place.

The building itself is stunning with its vast open air atrium with galleries, escalators and ramps winding up aprons to the roof. It feels very much like the Guggenheim in New York and it is light, airy and cool compared to the bustling city outside.

The lower floors hold smaller galleries, coffee shops and craft stores - I love coming here to find hand made gifts to-take home.

The upper gallery is currently closed for an installation change but the lower galleries are open focusing on local art, cartoons manga and children’s art work.

🕰️Business Hours: 10AM - 8PM (Closed on Mondays)
🏖️Ambiance/Facilities: Calm and cool, galleries and coffee shops with craft stalls in lower levels
