Pay homage to Luang Pho Dam at Wat Phakhininat Worawihan

#tripแจกโรงแรมฟรี

🏠Wat Phakininat Worawihan, a third-class royal temple, is an ancient temple. It was originally called Wat Bang Chak or Wat Nok. During the reign of King Rama II, the daughter of King Rama I restored and transformed the original ordination hall into a chapel.

🏠She built a new ordination hall and a gallery of cloisters. The principal Buddha image in the ordination hall, a stucco Buddha image, monks' quarters, and a royal pagoda were named Wat Phakininat, meaning the temple of the younger sister.

Things of interest and importance in the temple include:

🏠The ordination hall is a brick and mortar building. The interior walls have Chinese-style altars. Behind the ordination hall, on the outer wall, there are four standing Buddha images in the attitude of subduing the ocean, enshrined on the same pedestal.
🙏The principal Buddha image in the ordination hall is the attitude of subduing Mara.
🙏The gallery of Buddha images surrounds the ordination hall. Enshrining a stucco Buddha image in the Mara-Vijaya posture

🏠 The Kuti Tamnak is a Thai-style house of Her Royal Highness Princess Thebyavati (the temple restorer)
