Sivamokhaphiman Throne Hall, the heritage of the Front Palace

Phra Thinang Siwamokhaphiman is one of the important buildings in the National Museum, Bangkok. It used to be part of the Front Palace and was used as the royal audience hall during the reign of King Rama I. It is now preserved as a building for displaying art and antiques, focusing on displaying important Buddha images from various eras of Thailand, from the Dvaravati, Srivijaya, Lopburi, Sukhothai, Ayutthaya and Rattanakosin periods. The building has elegant architecture, combining Thai and Western art styles, suitable for those interested in the history of Thai Buddhist art.

Opening hours: Wednesday - Sunday 09:00 - 16:00 (Closed on Monday - Tuesday)

Admission fee: Included in the entrance fee to the National Museum, Bangkok (Thais 30 baht / Foreigners 200 baht)

How to get there:
- MRT, get off at Sanam Chai station Then take a taxi or a hired car
- Chao Phraya River boat, get off at Tha Maharaj or Tha Phra Chan, then walk for about 5 minutes
