Bangkok, Thailand is a world-famous tourist resort city. Every day, thousands of tourists come to Bangkok for sightseeing and vacation. The Chao Phraya River is the mother river of Bangkok and even the whole of Thailand. There are many temple attractions along the Chao Phraya River. This time I will introduce a temple attraction located on the Chao Phraya River: Wat Chai Mongkhon วัดชัยมงคล สมุทรปราการ. Free to visit and take photos📸, no need to buy tickets. You need to take off your shoes when entering the temple building. The temple is close to the bus station and BTS Skytrain station, and transportation is very convenient. The ancient temple is quite large. This temple houses a very popular holy relic, the Phra Kring Chai Mongkol. and the original Phra Chai Mongkol coin brought to Wat Mon by villagers The temple’s chapel does not face east like other Thai temples. But the temple will be turned towards the north, where the city of Hunsawadi is located. This temple is the first temple of the Khlong Paknam community. It was built in the same year as Ayutthaya was founded. Later it became a long-abandoned temple. Therefore, there is no continuous record in history. Entering the temple there is an open pavilion which houses a replica of Luang Por Sothon. In front is Phra Sri Ariya Metrai. There are 3 huge white Naga Prok statues in the back and as you enter you will see Ubosot. This is the original style. A bouquet of crow and swan tail leaves. On the gable there is a picture of Indra riding the Four-Faced Buddha. Facing north, it faces the canal with twelve wooden columns with cornices on their capitals. The doors and windows have castle arches. Each part is painted gold. Admission is not open. The Dharmachakra is located within the eight-directional quadrilateral arches at the top of the pagoda. Behind the area next to the pond is King Taksin's shrine, which contains a royal statue. There is a standing statue of Phraya Phichai Dap Hak in front. The entire temple building is tall and majestic, and the exterior decoration is magnificent. It is very beautiful and it is definitely a great place to take pictures. There are not many tourists in the temple, it is quiet and peaceful, very suitable for a person to meditate and daydream.
