When faith is not just black and white, “Shade of Faith”, an exhibition that takes us to explore the ambiguous space between traditional beliefs and modern religions, through artworks that question the origin of “faith” and its changing meaning according to the context of personal experiences, by artist Khao-Korapat Kotchaphakdi.
This exhibition presents paintings that are based on abstract and symbolic approaches. The artist chooses to “arrange images in pairs” to reflect polar opposites such as darkness-light, sleep-awake, ancient world-religious world.
The exhibition invites us to question the roots of belief and opens up space for us to explore “faith” with new eyes, not just for faith, but to understand its many shades. We will experience emotions, beauty, and aesthetics of beliefs that existed before religious interpretations. It also raises contemporary questions about the role of religion in a changing world.
Explore your own faith through your eyes and feelings, without anyone saying what is “right” or “wrong”, because sometimes the answer of faith May be hidden in the different “shades of gray” in each of our hearts at the “Shade of Faith” exhibition.
