Wat Benchamabophit Dusitwanaram

Wat Benchamabophit Dusitwanaram Ratchaworawihan, also known as "The Marble Temple", is a first-class royal temple located in the Dusit district of Bangkok. It is one of the most beautiful and famous temples in Thailand.

During the reign of King Rama IV, it was given a new name, "Wat Benchamabophit", which means "the temple of the five royals", because there were five royal family members together.

The ordination hall is made of Carrara marble from Italy. There are marble pillars and a courtyard, along with two large marble lions guarding the entrance. There is a replica of Phra Buddha Chinnarat enshrined as the principal Buddha image in the ordination hall. It is a Sukhothai-style Buddha image that was newly cast in 1920.
