#Wat Suthat Thepwararam Ratchaworamahawihan
📞Hello Hello, I heard and answered.
✨️A beautiful temple located in the heart of the city, with many important things. Let me write about the chapel located behind the temple.
✨️The chapel of Wat Suthat Thepwararam Ratchaworamahawihan used to be the longest chapel in Thailand, 72.25 meters long.
✨️The principal Buddha image is "Phra Phuttha Trilok Chet", a Buddha image in the Mara-Vijaya attitude. Both the chapel and the principal Buddha image were built during the reign of King Rama III. Around it are 8 sema arches, located on the glass wall. They are pairs of sema stones made of gray marble, carved with the image of a three-headed elephant. On the glass walls on the north and south sides, there are 4 keis on each side, which are used as places for scattering offerings in royal ceremonies, called "kei proy tan".
The chapel of Wat Suthat is the only chapel in Rattanakosin Island. There are no internal pillars, but 68 external pillars are used. The reason why King Rama III did not allow the construction of pillars in this chapel was because he did not want the pillars to block the beautiful murals.
✨️The chapel is often used for various ceremonies, so it may be difficult to find a chance to enter.
✨️Entrance fee: Foreigners 100 baht, Thais free
