Dev Mandir Temple Hindu Samaj Bangkok

Inside the Dev Mandir Temple, the divine statues of the Lord and deities, revered by Hindus, were brought from India (along with all the carved marble slabs). Sacred soil was also brought from the four important Buddhist pilgrimage sites: Lumbini (the birthplace), Bodh Gaya (the place of enlightenment), Sarnath (the site of the first sermon), and Kushinagar (the place of passing away) to ensure sanctity and auspiciousness. Additionally, water from various sacred rivers in India, such as the Ganges, Yamuna, and Saraswati, was collected and enshrined here at the Dev Mandir Temple.

The temple houses several marble deities, with Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi as the principal figures. Other deities include:

- Lord Brahma, the creator of the world, beautifully crafted in North Indian art style
- Goddess Durga, symbolizing strength and power
- Lord Buddha, regarded by Hindu Brahmins as the ninth avatar of Lord Narayana, symbolizing non-violence (Ahimsa)
- Lord Rama and Goddess Sita (Bhagwati Sita), with Rama being the seventh avatar of Lord Vishnu
- Lord Krishna and his consort, another avatar of Lord Vishnu-Narayana
- Lord Hanuman, an avatar of Lord Shiva, protector of Lord Rama
- Goddess Lakshmi, the great goddess symbolizing beauty and virtue
- Lord Ganesha (Ganesh), son of Lord Shiva and Goddess Uma, along with many other deities revered by Hindus and Thai people alike

Upon arrival, look for the sign indicating the elevator on the right corner. Take the elevator to the 3rd floor. Upon arrival, remove your shoes, place your umbrella down, and take off your hat. Then enter with reverence. An elderly gentleman will kindly guide you on the proper ways to worship with a warm smile. After that, you can worship at various points, chant mantras to honor all the deities, and admire the beauty inside the temple.
