Taipei｜Regent Hotel × Jiu Zhennan, parent-child handmade rice dumpling and pineapple cake experience

This time I participated in the hand-made experience of Jiu Zhen Nan at the Regent Hotel. What was particularly interesting was that they did not make ordinary pineapple cakes, but pineapple cakes in the shape of rice dumplings!

At the beginning, the teacher handed out two different colors of dough, original and matcha flavors. The green part was to be wrapped into the shape of rice dumplings leaves. After pressing out the patterns, fill them with sweet pineapple filling and finally draw expressions on them with cocoa powder. The cute little rice dumplings are ready!

My daughter had a lot of fun. She said while pinching the dumplings, "This zongzi is so cute, I can't bear to eat it!" In the end, she made a mini version, saying that she wanted to be a "baby". Each one had a different expression, which was really healing~

This experience was not just about making desserts, but more like a creative handcrafting class, making traditional desserts more interesting. I really like this kind of parent-child time!
