"Kruba Bangna" is a Thai restaurant with bold flavors and affordable prices

I had the chance to stop by Kruba Bangna, located on Bangna-Trad Road, inbound side. The restaurant is simple, not fancy, but I must say the food quality exceeds the price! It’s a Thai restaurant focusing on rich flavors, good ingredients, and reasonable prices. It’s perfect for family dining or hanging out with friends.

This meal, I tried several dishes and was quite impressed with the flavors:
• Yum Pla Khao San (Crispy rice fish salad) – a crunchy appetizer with freshly fried rice fish tossed in a spicy, tangy dressing. Very addictive.
• Sataw Pad Moo Krob (Stir-fried stink beans with crispy pork) – authentically Southern spicy, the crispy pork isn’t tough, and the stink beans blend perfectly with the sauce.
• Goong Tod Sauce Makham (Fried shrimp with tamarind sauce) – large shrimp fried crispy outside and tender inside, topped with a perfectly balanced sweet and sour tamarind sauce.
• Yum Lai Bua (Lotus stem salad) – fresh and crunchy, tossed in a traditional Thai spicy dressing with fragrant chili and lime, delivering a full spicy, sour, and sweet flavor.
• Yentafo Hot Pot – this one was just okay, the flavor wasn’t as rich as expected, not as flavorful as the other dishes.

The desserts here are also special:
• Coconut cake – soft texture, fragrant with young coconut, moderately sweet, a signature dish of the restaurant.
• Other cakes like banoffee or chocolate are also available, with decent taste and reasonable prices.

The atmosphere is friendly, with both indoor and outdoor seating. Parking is spacious, and the staff is quick to serve. If you’re around Bangna and looking for delicious Thai food that’s worth both the price and taste, I highly recommend trying "Kruba Bangna."
