Review of Rembrandt Hotel Bangkok

Many people are likely familiar with this hotel as it has been around for a long time, and its restaurants are quite famous, such as the Indian cuisine at Rang Mahal and the Mexican food at Mexicano. Currently, the hotel is gradually renovating its rooms, offering great value. What impressed me the most is that they now have a bidet spray in the bathroom! 😂 As a true Thai, no matter how luxurious a five-star or six-star hotel is, it feels incomplete without a bidet spray.

At the moment, Rang Mahal is closed for renovations. The fitness center has been relocated from the 4th floor to the 24th floor, which has allowed Mexicano to expand its space. There are two great promotions: TACO Night for 599++ with one free drink, but the one I chose is even better—Saturday Pool Brunch for 999++ with a "buy 4, pay for 3" deal. The highlight is the "unlimited margaritas," which can also be made as mocktails without alcohol. If you drink alcohol, it's incredibly worth it! Check-in is at 2:00 PM, but you can leave your luggage and head up to enjoy the brunch from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM. It's a great deal with plenty of food, including fresh tiger prawns and excellent Mexican dishes. Cheese lovers shouldn't miss it.

The newly renovated rooms are clean, and most guests are European, followed by Koreans and Japanese. There are some Indian guests, but not as many as you might expect. For breakfast, it's best to go around 7:00 AM or after 9:00 AM to avoid the crowds. The breakfast spread is excellent with plenty of options. I noticed many Koreans enjoying rice porridge, so I tried it, and it was delicious. My favorites were the muffins, but the crispy waffles were also great.

Additionally, the hotel has two entrances—Sukhumvit 18 and 20. In the evening, you can walk to Soi 22 to find something to eat near IKEA Soi 22, where there are plenty of restaurants to choose from. The jajangmyeon is quite tasty. For those who prefer street food, exit the hotel via Soi 20 and walk towards the main Sukhumvit Road. You'll find a wonton noodle shop and a made-to-order food stall. Many Europeans were seen enjoying the noodles, while Koreans and other Asians were waiting at the made-to-order food stall.

Overall, this is a hotel where you can sleep comfortably. The air conditioning is cool and not stuffy, and the hot and cold water pressure is strong. The location is convenient as it's close to both the BTS and MRT. You can walk to Terminal 21 or EmSphere, which aren't far. Most importantly, the price is reasonable, especially compared to other hotels in the Asoke area.
