#GetDiscountsWithoutLuck: Chu Lao Chu Ros, a famous restaurant in the Dusit-Samsen area, was incredibly popular when it first opened. Now that the buzz has died down, customers are still coming in. Anyone who loves som tam (papaya salad) and Isaan-Lao cuisine should definitely give it a try.
The restaurant is located in a slightly awkward location, with seating on the side of the road, more like street food than you'd expect. Taking out orders isn't as satisfying. We arrived at 4 PM and saw quite a few customers, but it took a while to get a table. (I checked their Facebook page and found they also have a branch on Ratchawat Road, with seating in another shophouse. It's fantastic!)
Back to the food: You order via QR code, and it's served in no time.
🌶️ The Luang Prabang salad is the best! It's incredibly fragrant and incredibly flavorful, paired with
🌶️ Grilled Catfish with Jaew Sauce. I'm not usually a big fan of catfish, but this one was excellent. The meat was tender, and the side dish sauce was delicious and spicy.
🥩 The grilled beef was also good. But I've forgotten which part/dish to order.
🍗 Fried chicken. A simple dish, but they make it well.
