Bangkok Ekkamai｜Bijoux de Beurre Échiré Butter Pastry is a Must-Try

During my stay at a hotel near Ekkamai in Bangkok, I stumbled upon Échiré, a French dessert shop! Known for its butter-based treats that often require long queues and are hard to get in Japan, this shop in Bangkok offers them without the hassle of waiting, and at a slightly cheaper price compared to Japan. It's definitely a worthwhile indulgence.

This time, I tried the Danish butter roll and the cheesecake. The butter roll was delightfully crispy with rich buttery layers that weren’t overwhelming, making it impossible to stop at just one bite. The cheesecake had a dense texture and carried the unique smooth aroma of Échiré butter, with just the right level of sweetness—truly irresistible. The shop’s ambiance was also very comfortable, quiet, and elegant, making it a perfect spot to sit back and enjoy. However, the drinks were quite ordinary and not particularly memorable.

Although the prices are relatively high for Bangkok, the overall experience is absolutely worth it. The only downside was that the day’s limited-edition items were already sold out, which was a bit disappointing. I’m definitely looking forward to coming back and trying other varieties next time!
