Wat Ratchathiwat Ratchaworawihan

😃Hello friends, today, I traveled to the South and had the opportunity to worship at Wat Ratcha Thiwat Ratchaworawihan in Bangkok. 🙏🙏🙏

🌸 Wat Ratcha Thiwat, originally named Wat Samorai, is an ancient temple dating back to the Ayutthaya period. King Chulalongkorn commented that the word Samorai may have been a distortion of the word Thomor, which is Khmer for rock. Therefore, Samorai or Thomorai may mean rows of rocks. During the reign of King Rama IV, he gave this temple a new name: Wat Ratcha Thiwat, which means the royal residence. 🔔

👉When you walk into the temple, you will be greeted by the shady trees and the beautiful permanent structures inside the temple. 🍀

🌼The temple's ordination hall is in the Khmer style, similar to Angkor Wat. The interior of the chapel is incredibly beautiful, including the principal Buddha image inside the chapel, which is divided into three parts. The murals are also incredibly beautiful and unique. The pagoda behind the chapel is a newly built pagoda that covers the original bell-shaped pagoda. And here there is a pavilion made entirely of teak wood and is the largest in Thailand, my friends✨

🔆If you have the chance, you must come here. It's really beautiful🎯
📌The temple is open every day from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.💐
🚩The temple is located on Samsen 9 Road, Wachiraphayaban Subdistrict, Dusit District, Bangkok, on the banks of the Chao Phraya River. You can come by boat or car. There is parking available.📣
😄Next time, when we travel to the South, where will we go to worship? I will take pictures of the atmosphere to share with my friends. Bye bye😉
