TAY Songwat (Tey Nam Te Tha) is a new cafe on Song Wat Road that's perfect for grabbing coffee, snapping photos, and chilling out with friends.
1. Design + Atmosphere
• The shop is housed in a two-story old building that's been beautifully renovated. The old structure, such as the floors and walls, retains much of the vintage look, but incorporates new materials to create a warm yet stylish atmosphere (wood and exposed concrete in some areas).
• There are two floors, with the upper floor featuring an art exhibition or art gallery for you to browse through.
2. Extensive Menu
• Offering coffee, tea, and non-coffee options like clear tea and milk tea made with wild tea leaves from Chiang Rai. They also offer homemade bakery items, breads, and tarts.
• Some of the reviewers' favorites include Iced Latte, Americano, milk tea, Jasmine Tea, and Cocoa Tea.
3. Photo/Check-in Spots
• Tey Nam Te Tha features a wooden tone, an old building, exposed concrete walls, and wooden furniture. This creates a beautiful mood and tone for photos.
• The front and interior of the shop offer many photo opportunities, especially the upper floor, where the exhibition is held, with a well-lit art corner.
4. Location and Hours
• Songwat Road, a charming area, is a great place to stroll around for coffee and desserts.
• Open from approximately 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM to 5:30 PM, depending on reviews and sources.
5. Price
• Prices are moderate to slightly high, ranging from around 100-250 baht per person, depending on the menu selection and any special ingredients.
✅💯
If I were to take a friend to this shop, I'd plan a chill day: stroll around Songwat in the morning, stop by TAY Songwat for its excellent coffee, well-prepared food, and delicious desserts. Then, continue walking and taking photos of the old neighborhood. It's quite enjoyable. The taste and atmosphere truly exude a "pour-your-seat" vibe. You can sip for a long time without rushing. Perfect for those looking to rest their eyes from tall buildings and traffic.
