✅ Wat Bowonniwet Vihara Ratchaworawihan (formerly known as Wat Mai) is a first-class royal temple of the Ratchaworawihan type. It is located

on Bowonniwet Road and Phra Sumen Road in Bowonniwet Subdistrict

Phra Nakhon District, Bangkok. It was established by Somdet Phra Bowonratchachao Maha Sakdiphonsep, Prince of the Front Palace, during the reign of King Rama III.

🙏The principal Buddha image in this temple has a unique characteristic, unlike any other temple. It houses two principal Buddha images, both ancient and historically significant.
1. Phra Phuttha Chinnasi, brought from the northern viharn of Wat Phra Si Rattana Mahathat Woramahawihan in Phitsanulok Province, brought here in its entirety around 1830.
2. Phra Suwanna Khet Also known as "Phra To" or "Luang Pho Phet," this large principal Buddha image sits behind Phra Buddha Chinnasi. It was brought from Wat Sathapan by His Royal Highness Prince Maha Sakdiphonsep in Phetchaburi Province.
