"Facefully – Shameful Face": The Art of the Face Tells More Than What Meets the Eye, by Artist Pang-Phatthida Prasanthong
Pang Phatthida is an illustrator known for her unique, simple yet powerful linework. Her work often features large-headed, round-eyed, cute, and playful characters, with simple, adorable hands and feet. She communicates stories and emotions in a straightforward manner, leaving room for everyone to interpret and experience their emotions in their own way.
"Facefully – Shameful Face" marks her return to a solo exhibition after 10 years. The artist uses "faces" as a medium to convey stories. Each face she draws is the result of her intentional expression of playfulness and laziness, resulting in accessible, sincere, and playful works.
The exhibition also features adorable large-scale sculptures, art toys, and stationery that allow viewers to "play with faces."
Those who enjoy playful character work should not miss this exhibition.
