This is another beautiful temple located near the Giant Swing. The temple is quite spacious and houses Phra Si Sakkayamuni, one of Thailand's most significant Buddha statues. This bronze statue, the largest of its kind during the Sukhothai period (before the 25th Buddhist century), was brought to Bangkok by King Rama I. It was originally referred to as "Phra To" (the Big Buddha) until King Rama IV renamed it "Phra Si Sakkayamuni." This is a brief overview of the temple.
Inside the main hall, there are exquisite mural paintings.
If you have the chance, you can visit the temple to admire its beauty or make merit.
- There is a spot for offering Sangha Dana.
- The restrooms are clean, and there seem to be several locations, though I personally found only one, likely intended for tourists and worshippers.
- Parking is available around the temple's perimeter for free.
