Our Second Home by the River

We've been visiting this hotel once or twice annually since 2009. We still cherish its riverside locale and the shuttle boat to Saphan Taksin Pier/Skytrain. The rooms are spacious, breakfast has an amazing variety, and the pool sits city-center with a river view. Beds are comfy (though short), and the redesigned Club Lounge is splendid! Yet, what we've adored most through the years, and continue to, is the service and warmth of the staff; it's become our second abode. -------- The hotel now stands at about 17 years old, was refurbished in 2019, and remains well-preserved. We consistently book a two-bedroom club suite for our family, but these don't quite match the features of new 5-star establishments (e.g., bathrooms are dim and small, lack "Japanese" toilets, air conditioning is pretty noisy, windows with single glazing aren't fully airtight, allowing street noise and wind even on the 34th floor, and curtains don't entirely block out the light). Some single-bed rooms, though, boast a more "modern" styling.
