- Wat Phanurangsi is an ancient temple built during the mid-Ayutthaya period. Originally built on a fruit orchard, the temple was named "Wat Klang Suan." Later, Prince Phanurangsi Sawangwong discovered the temple in its dilapidated state, renovated it, and bestowed the new name "Wat Phanurangsi" after him.
- Important permanent structures include the ancient Maha-ut chapel, which houses the sacred Buddha image, "Luang Pho Tho," widely revered by the public. It is believed that this image has been with the temple since its inception.
