Zhongfeng Peak, located in the Huashan Scenic Area south of Yuquan Road in Huayin City, Weinan City, Shaanxi Province, is said to have been the place where Nongyu, the daughter of Duke Mu of Qin, cultivated herself during the Spring and Autumn Period. It is therefore also known as the Jade Maiden Peak. The peak is shaped like a bird's head, wide at the top and tapering at the bottom. A massive stone beam shaped like a turtle dominates the summit. Zhongfeng boasts scenic spots such as the Star Jade Maiden Cliff, the Jade Maiden Cave, the Jade Maiden Stone Horse, the Jade Maiden Washing Hair, the Stone Turtle Footsteps, the Rootless Tree, and the Self-Sacrificing Tree. The Jade Maiden Shrine was rebuilt by later generations, and the Jade Maiden statue was recreated in 1983. Its appearance is dignified, elegant, and simple, with a rigorous and ancient style.
Huayin has a pleasant climate with four distinct seasons and an average annual temperature of 13.7 degrees Celsius, making it a great place to travel in any season.
There are many landscapes on the middle peak, such as the Mingxing Jade Girl Cliff, Jade Girl Cave, Jade Girl Stone Horse, Jade Girl Washing Hair, Stone Turtle Steps, Rootless Tree, and Self-Sacrificing Tree. The Jade Girl Temple was rebuilt by later generations, and the Jade Girl statue was reshaped in 1983. Its appearance is dignified, beautiful, simple and rigorous.
