Visiting The Grand Palace in Bangkok

👑 𝓡𝓸𝔂𝓪𝓵𝓽𝔂👑

Ever since I moved to Thailand, I kinda told myself I’d try to avoid the typical tourist traps. With the exception of visiting some of the temple in Bangkok. Honestly though, you can’t come to a new city and not cover the “Top Things to See in Bangkok” list.

The traditional architecture here is stunning, enough said about that. The buildings sparkle from the vibrant tiles. So, I finally decided to visit The Grand Palace.

Long story short, it used to be the residence of the King, but now it’s a place to host royal ceremonies and gatherings. You can take a look around the grounds in about an hour.

Pro tip:

• Don’t be a dummy (like me). Avoid wearing shorts or tank tops, or pay for the elephant pants/wraps (200baht)
• Go early, around 8:30am, when it opens for photos without the crowds

Ticket price: 500baht, if you don’t have cash, there’s an ATM next to the ticket booth.

Getting There - Grab, taxi, or MRT
Attractions - Wat Pho is next to The Grand Palace
