Chinatown in Bangkok is one of the largest Chinatowns or Chinese communities in the world, established since 1782.
Chinatown in Bangkok and nearby areas, namely Talad Noi, Khlong Thom and Weng Nakorn Kasem, are located in the Samphanthawong area along the length of Charoen Krung Road.

In the near future, modern developments are coming to Chinatown in Bangkok, both the subway station (namely Wat Mangkon station) and the Blue Line electric train station. There is concern that the old community will be affected after these developments take over.
