📍 Benjakitti Park, Bangkok
🏞️ The park we are going to today is Benjakitti Park, which many people may be familiar with because it is an exercise park like other public parks. But what makes it more special than other places is that this park is designed to have a large wetland area to create a complete natural ecosystem. The forest relies on moisture from these natural water sources to nourish the plants in the park. In addition, the original landscape of Bangkok itself is a wetland area with a complex biodiversity of many plant species and creatures that are disappearing due to the continuous and rapid expansion of the city. The park acts like a sponge that absorbs water that cannot be drained fast enough and is flooded to store and help treat wastewater naturally. It becomes a water retention area in case there is more water than necessary and is the cause of flooding in Bangkok, especially water from Khlong Phai Singto, which is located to the north of the park. 👍🏻👍🏻 There is also a pavilion here for relaxing. It is in the middle of the pond. There is also a Sky Walk for walking and viewing the park from a high angle or exercising by walking fast or running. Importantly, Benjakitti Park also has a skywalk that connects to Lumphini Park. 🍃💞 The most recent time I went to Benjakitti Park, it was quite quiet. Not many people, which is very different from before. It is quite crowded. 👍🏻👍🏻
⏰ Opening/Closing hours: 05.00-21.00 hrs.
🚗 Parking at Benjakitti Park parking lot, enter through Gate 1. Go straight ahead, there will be a lot of parking spaces.
