Park Güell, located in the Gracia district of Barcelona, Spain,
is one of Antoni Gaudí's representative architectural works and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Park Güell is said to have been created by Güell after he visited England and was impressed by the beautiful parks in England, so he commissioned Gaudi to create the park. The most important of Gaudi's architectural philosophies was 'harmony with nature', so he built the park without damaging nature and just as it was.
It reminds me of Hansel and Gretel's 'Cookie House'.
✔️Major attractions
- Lizard Fountain: The lizard-shaped fountain located on the steps at the entrance to the park is one of the symbols of Park Güell.
- Curved Bench: The benches surrounding the main square are designed in a wave-like curve, and are designed so that those sitting on them can easily talk to each other.
- Wave Cave: A curved passageway imitating the shape of nature, where you can see Gaudi's naturalistic architectural philosophy.
- El Turó de les Tres Creus: A stone hill with three crosses at the highest point of the park, a viewpoint where you can see Barcelona city and the Mediterranean Sea at a glance
🚇How to get there
