#batamguide
Batam turned out to be an ideal short getaway from the city. The weather was a bit warm, but the sky stayed clear and blue throughout the trip, making every view picture-perfect.
I started my journey from Johor Bahru at Stulang Laut Ferry Terminal. The ferry ride was smooth and took about an hour to reach Batam.
Accommodation
I stayed at Aston Inn Gideon Batam. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and located right in the heart of the city. It's close to BCS Mall and Grand Batam Mall, and A2 Food Court is just across the street—perfect for late-night snacks.
Massage Recommendation
I went to Spring Family Massage. It was extremely comfortable and relaxing. I recommend booking in advance as it can get busy, especially in the evenings.
Places I Visited
1. Next Level – a modern entertainment spot
2. De Sands (Santorini Café) – coastal cafe with beautiful decor
3. Blue Fire Beach (also called Pink Beach) – peaceful and scenic
4. Tian Yin Maitreya Temple – quiet, spiritual space
5. Masjid Sultan Mahmud Riayat Shah 360 – large, majestic mosque
6. Rainbow Bridge – colorful and great for photos
7. The Kind Bowl – vegetarian restaurant offering healthy meals with an option of “Five Blessings”
8. Fore Coffee – popular cafe with stylish interiors
9. Infinity Beach Club – great place to relax by the sea
10. Cheng Ho Mosque – a mosque influenced by Chinese architecture
If you're visiting beachside spots like Infinity Beach Club, Rainbow Bridge, or Blue Fire Beach, it's best to go in the evening or at night. The temperature is cooler, the lighting is better for photos, and the overall vibe is more enjoyable.
