Batu Caves is another place you must visit if you visit Kuala Lumpur. It is the largest and most famous Hindu temple in Malaysia. The highlight is the 272-step rainbow staircase, which is very beautiful. You can take pictures from any angle and it will look great.
It is very easy to get there. Take the KTM Komuter train and get off at Batu Caves station. You will arrive right away without having to transfer anything. When you exit the station, you will see a large golden statue of Lord Murugan standing in front of you. It is very tall and you will definitely get it in your picture.
When walking up the stairs, I must say that it is tiring. But along the way, you will encounter monkeys everywhere. Be careful of your bags, food, and things you grab, or you will get snatched away, haha.
Upstairs is a large and magnificent cave with a Hindu temple inside. The atmosphere inside the cave is cool and the air is good. I recommend coming in the morning or late morning. It is not too hot and the light will be beautiful. You will get good pictures.
Overall, it is a place for those who love taking pictures, religious people, or those who like beautiful atmospheres. Most importantly, the entrance fee is free. However, if you want to go into the Dark Cave, you have to pay a separate tour fee.
For those who come to KL and have half a day to spare, I highly recommend visiting Batu Caves once. You’ll definitely get tons of photos!
