On the outskirts of Kuala Lumpur is located the unique place, Batu Caves. The multitude of colors, hundreds of monkeys and the momentousness of the structure is very impressive.
✅ The best way to get here from downtown KL is by cab - from my own experience, I recommend Grab/inDrive for about 20MYR.
✅ Beware of monkeys - they try to pull things out of bags and backpacks out of sight
✅ The place is extremely "photogenic" both at the foot of the cave and at the very top - it's worth having a bottle of water and a fan, though, as there are many stairs (272) and it's just difficult in full sunlight.
✅ In the nearby, a couple of stalls & groceries are located - prices are moderate.
