Batu Caves | Malaysia

Batu Caves, Malaysia... Let me just say that this is Malaysia. Seriously, this place has a very Indian feel, like you're really in India.

Batu Caves, sacred to Hindus, is notable for its colorful staircases, but also for its world-highest statue of Lord Murugan, enshrined in front of the cave. And, most importantly, it's huge!

Murugan is believed to be the son of Lord Shiva and Goddess Uma. The beautifully painted staircase, visible from afar, is believed to be the highest point, the closest point to heaven, according to Hindu belief. The Batu Caves area also features Indian restaurants, and visitors can witness traditional Indian lifestyles.

We can experience Indian culture, beliefs, and traditions. It's just a little over two hours from Bangkok and costs just over a thousand baht.

🕰 Opening Hours: 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM (daily)
🪙 Admission: Free
🚅 Transportation: The most convenient way is to take the BTS Skytrain. Get off at Batu Caves Station (I believe everyone can do this).
💰 Transportation Cost: 100 baht/person (approximately)
The BTS Skytrain fare here starts at RM2, or about 16 baht.
