🇬🇪Georgia‖Batumi, the most romantic city in the Caucasus

🇬🇪Georgia‖Batumi
This small city tucked away on the Black Sea is a truly stunning port city on the border of Georgia and Turkey! The architecture is so stunning it'll make you feel like you've traveled between Europe and Asia, instantly transforming into a hybrid look—perfect for photo ops! 📸

Many people don't know Batumi, but you've surely seen the two sculptures in the picture!

Yes, they're "Ali and Nino"!
📍Batumi's most popular artistic icon, featured in various films and inspirational copywriting—a true love icon❗❗✨

Batumi is small and exquisite, and a day's city walk will take you in all its beauty, but the chill vibe of a seaside vacation is truly unforgettable... The climate is pleasant, and the cool Black Sea breeze is perfect for a leisurely stroll. 🌊

Transportation Tips
From Tbilisi to Batumi, we recommend taking the double-decker train (approximately 5 hours). Second-class seats are 35 Lari per person, with three departures daily. The city is close to the coast, so walking and shared bikes are perfectly adequate. Taking a taxi (Bolt app) is about 5 lari for 3 kilometers, which is super cost-effective!

📍Peak Season
The weather is most comfortable from April 6th 🈷️ to September 10th 🈷️, with temperatures around 20°, few crowds, and beautiful scenery, perfect for photos 📸

Personal Recommendations
1⃣️ Ali & Nino Moving Sculpture 🌅 (Address: Batumi Boulevard, by the sea)
These twin 8-meter-tall steel statues symbolize eternal love, and they also feature a nighttime light and shadow show for a truly romantic experience!
2⃣️ Church of Our Lady ⛪ (Address: 25 Baratashvili St)
Amazing! The Gothic-style stained glass windows are a must-have for snapping photos of your girlfriend. 3⃣️ Alphabet Tower 🗼 (Address: Near Nino & Ali Statue Park)
Tickets to the summit are 10 lari. Reservations are required for the dome restaurant, which offers panoramic views of the coastline. Daytime views are more beautiful, as the glass windows can be reflective at night.
4⃣️ Botanical Garden 🌿 (Address: Mtsvane Kontskhi, Batumi)
The largest botanical garden in the former Soviet Union! Over 100 hectares of tropical rainforest, a breathtaking greenery experience.
5⃣️ Argo Cable Car 🚠 (Address: 1 Gogebashvili St, Batumi)
Departing from the port, you'll fly over the city and forest together—super cool!

Recommended three-day itinerary
Day 1: Church of Our Lady of the Assumption → Europe Square (Medea's Golden Fleece Statue) → Alphabet Tower → Ali & Nino night view
Day 2: Argo Cable Car → Botanical Gardens → Cycling along the Seaside Boulevard → Ferris Wheel (5 lari/round, no glass cover!)
Day 3: McDonald's breakfast → Old Town street photography → Return to Tbilisi

Accommodation: OrbiCity Apartments, sea view room, approximately 200 lari per night, 5-minute walk from Ali & Nino. Recommended budget-friendly accommodations: Marriott/Hilton, located in prime coastal locations with infinity pools overlooking the Black Sea, around 800 Lari per night 😍😍

Batumi Food List
1️⃣ Adjaruli Khachapuri 🧀
Georgian cheese boat bread, freshly baked and beaten with egg yolk, with a creamy, stringy texture that's incredibly satisfying~
2️⃣ Black Sea Grilled Fish Platter 🐟
"Heart of Batumi" freshly grilled mackerel with garlic sauce, bursting with seafood flavor!
3️⃣ Georgian clay wine, I recommend Saperavi dry red. You can try it at any small roadside bar; you'll really fall in love with its tart and fragrant aroma.

Tips for Avoiding Scams
1️⃣ The minimum bill at the Alphabet Tower Restaurant is 30 Lari. For a truly scenic view, I recommend buying just the entrance fee.
2️⃣ Street vendors and guesthouses often accept cash, so be sure to have cash handy.
3️⃣ When taking a taxi, be sure to ask the driver to use the meter, or order a Bolt taxi. The airport to city center fare is under 20 Lari—a fantastic deal!

Batum is truly dreamy. If you want to travel, take lots of photos, and experience the diverse and exotic culture of this city, this is your next destination. Bring your friends and explore! 🧳🌴
