Mahachedi of Buddhanath (Bodhinath)

Bouddha Stupa
The largest circular stupa in Nepal
It is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site
It is located about 8 kilometers away
from the center of Kathmandu

The uniqueness of this stupa is looking at the top
You will see the Buddha's eyes of Dharma or the eyes of wisdom
turned in all four directions
As if watching us all the time

There are many people who come to pay homage
Some spin the magic cylinders around
Which are tourists of many nationalities, both Nepalese
Or Tibetan monks in red

The stupa is also decorated with prayer flags
Which are believed to protect those who pass through
