Beihai's long-established star-rated hotel, with a prime location and great value for money, offering a lightly luxurious stay!

Beihai Jin Chang Kaiyuan Mingdu Hotel opened in 2011 and has been operating in Beihai for 14 years. It is the second star-rated brand hotel in Beihai. Although it is a domestic brand hotel, its facilities and services are not inferior. Having been established in Beihai for over a decade, it has a strong local reputation and offers excellent value. As one of the main gateway hotels in Beihai, it has witnessed the booming development and splendid transformation of Beihai's tourism industry.

1. The hotel is located in the center of Beihai Silver Beach Tourist Resort. Although it is not close to the core scenic area, it is only about a ten-minute drive away. Its location advantage lies in its proximity to Beihai International Passenger Port, about 900 meters on foot, making it very convenient to travel to Weizhou Island.

2. Additionally, the hotel is near Qiaogang Style Street and Qiaogang Beach, making it easy for tourists to get close to the sea and find delicious food. The hotel is 5.9 kilometers from Beihai Railway Station, convenient for taking high-speed trains to nearby cities. Overall, the hotel's location is quite good and can be considered very advantageous. Importantly, it is not in the bustling area of Silver Beach, so the hotel maintains tranquility, making it a very quiet place to stay.

3. The overall design of the hotel is based on Beihai's rich historical and cultural heritage, incorporating elements of the intelligent Danjia people's production and life, as well as nautical themes. The building's exterior design features a white ship shape, with a simple and smooth overall form that harmonizes naturally with the tropical scenery of Beihai Silver Beach.

4. It is worth mentioning that the hotel closed for renovation on April 1, 2020, undergoing a six-month upgrade. The interior redesign was created by CCD Hong Kong Zheng Zhong Design Office, ranked third globally. While retaining the original building structure, the hotel was re-planned and upgraded to a lightly luxurious high-end leisure resort hotel. The lobby bar, all-day dining restaurant, Chinese restaurant private rooms, outdoor swimming pool, and executive floor rooms were all renovated and upgraded. Therefore, the hotel now looks very new, and the facilities are well maintained.

5. During this stay, I experienced the fully renovated executive floor room—the Jin Chang Suite. I personally liked the overall color scheme, especially the use of vintage green, which feels very upscale. The soft furnishings combine warm wood, clear glass, linen fabric, textured leather, and matte metal decorations, all contributing to a stylish and textured space. The atmosphere is relaxed, fresh, and charming. The Jin Chang Suite is quite spacious, featuring a separate dining room, living room, work desk, bedroom, walk-in closet, and bathroom, as well as a large outdoor viewing balcony. Standing by the railing, you can enjoy the breeze and a good view of the sea.

6. For leisure facilities, the outdoor heated swimming pool is truly a highlight. The pool is large and nestled within a rainforest landscape, creating a full vacation vibe. It has both deep and shallow areas, allowing both adults and children to enjoy the water fun. The fitness center's Island Fantasy Park is a paradise for kids, with slides, castles, and fun craft areas, offering plenty to play with.

7. Regarding dining, the hotel has the Chinese restaurant "Four Seasons Pavilion," the all-day dining restaurant "Blanca Xi," and a lobby bar. The Chinese restaurant "Four Seasons Pavilion" specializes in Cantonese and local dishes, and you must try some of their signature dishes. The sandworm lives in coastal mudflats and sandy seabeds, shaped like intestines and also called sand intestine worm. It is nutritious, delicious, crispy, and tender. The restaurant's Cantonese dim sum is also very good and popular, with many must-order items like red rice sausage, special shrimp dumplings, custard buns, and black pepper beef ribs. The restaurant is affordable, with guaranteed quality ingredients and commendable service.

8. The all-day dining restaurant "Blanca Xi" offers a buffet dinner every day at a very affordable price—only 158 RMB per person for a pretty good buffet. Currently, they are hosting a Korean cuisine food festival, with a stall full of Korean-flavored dishes such as Korean BBQ, Korean fried chicken, kimchi pasta, honeycomb cheese shrimp, and more. You can enjoy Korean food without going to Korea. The hotel buffet changes themes periodically, and in my opinion, the quality far exceeds the price. Seafood, barbecue, Japanese cuisine, Chinese and Western hot dishes are all available, with fresh seafood caught on demand. As a long-established hotel, the service is truly impeccable, and the diners are quite stable.

9. The hotel also has a floor dedicated to family rooms, which was a pleasant surprise. The family rooms are beautifully decorated, with attention to every detail, making them very suitable for families with children. Honestly, whether you are traveling to Beihai for leisure, family vacation, or a winter "migratory bird" plan, Jin Chang Kaiyuan Mingdu Hotel is definitely a hotel worth choosing. It is convenient to get anywhere, the surrounding facilities are mature, the service of this old hotel is good, and most importantly, the room rates are quite affordable. It is a highly recommended choice for a resort hotel!
