Chongqing Bashu Ancient Architecture Museum｜I didn’t expect there is such a museum in Chongqing

👀I accidentally discovered that there is such a museum in the main city of Chongqing that tells the story of Bashu architecture. The location itself is a cultural relic protection building - Fuxing Temple, which houses more than a thousand exhibits.

💫The moment I stepped into this place, the only word left in my mind was "carved beams and painted buildings". Every building component is extremely decorated, with exquisite and complex carvings and patterns with different meanings... I would like to call it a visual feast.

💫I also learned about many unique elements of ancient architecture: door hairpins, hanging flowers, hanging fish, purlins, caissons... Even the names of building components are full of poetry, and I deeply sigh at the exquisiteness and vastness of Chinese architectural aesthetics.
